Who are we?
We are a team working with Archbishop Fabre and the Office of Worship in the Archdiocese of Louisville to develop, implement, and execute a Pastoral Prayer Initiative called The Great Novena. If you are interested in learning more about Louisville's Great Novena, or helping to spread the word, please contact us.
My name is Bryan Cain. I am the husband of Lisa, and the father of six children: five living, and one lost to miscarriage. In addition to my full-time work at St. John Paul II Parish and Academy, I serve as Strategic Advisor for Family Renewal Project, and I also run a consulting company called Abel Advice LLC. I serve my parish of St. Rita on Parish Council and as Confirmation 2 Catechist, and on the side of the side I coach improv comedy. I also lead or support several other projects and ministries including ArchLou's Great Novena. May the Lord give you his peace!
Patrick and his wife (2018), Elisha, are the parents of Evangeline Truth (2020) and Hugo Alexander (2022). They also continue to carry the memory of Bellamy Cor (2024), who passed early in pregnancy. Patrick was raised by Gregory and Ann Parris, alongside his three older brothers and Saint Patrick Parish. His domestic church belongs to Ascension (Louisville), though they make an effort to attend Masses throughout the city, particularly those offered in different languages. Patrick’s pastimes include studying hip-hop, ultimate (frisbee), and chess. He still enjoys graphic design, board games, and watching Survivor (TV show airing since 2000). Romans 12:2
After my conversion to the Catholic faith in 2001, I have volunteered in various capacities for over 20 years. I fell in love with the truth, beauty, and goodness of the faith and, as Youth Coordinator for the past 6 years at Saint John the Apostle in Brandenburg, Ky, I want nothing more than to share our beautiful Church traditions and God's love with young people and everyone I meet. I am honored to be on pilgrimage with the Great Novena team. Let's see what God can do!
